A small update has arrived to Call of Duty: Warzone on December 19, which introduces the new Archie's Festival Frenzy event. The patch notes detail audio improvements and bug fixes for battle royale, as well as the arrival of the season's new sniper rifle.

Season 1 Reloaded adds the brand-new AMR Mod 4 sniper rifle, which can be earned for free in both Black Ops 6 and Warzone as a reward in the Archie's Festival Frenzy event. As previously reported by CharlieIntel, the weapon is also already available for purchase as a store bundle.

In addition to the new weapon, the patch notes reveal a few adjustments to improve footstep audio. This includes an increase in volume for enemy footsteps, while decreasing the volume of first-person player footsteps. It also reduces the environmental reverb effects across all players, including teammate and enemy footsteps.

The update makes a few changes to the game's weapon restrictions. The CHF Barrel attachment is blocked on the new AMR Mod 4 sniper rifle, but the attachment is no longer restricted from the COR 45 pistol or the akimbo variant of the Saug submachine gun.

For bug fixes, the update corrects an issue in the Holiday Rush mode that prevented Santa from aiming at lower elevations. An exploit is also patched that previously allowed players to use unintended perks.

The full patch notes for Warzone can be seen below, as shared by Activision.
