Very few basketball players are good enough to make it in the NBA, and that alone places Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard Donovan Mitchell in rare territory. Unfortunately for Mitchell, his skills on the battlefields of Call of Duty don't seem to be the equal of his skills on the basketball court. During a recent press appearance, Mitchell acknowledged his struggles with the game and how it gave him a raspy voice. "I've been playing Call of Duty with these kids, screaming at them and stuff, that's where the voice goes," said Mitchell. "It's been rough... I genuinely try to get better, which makes me even more upset. I watch film on my phone, on TikTok. I'm still terrible. As you can tell, I put a lot of effort into Call of Duty." Donovan Mitchell on why his voice was a bit raspy during interviews today: “I've been playing Call of Duty with these kids and screaming at them and stuff. So that's where the voice goes... He suggested that this may have happened because he plays basketball for a living before saying that he's asked for a reprieve from his Call of Duty purgatory. "I reached out to Call of Duty," said Mitchell. "Like, 'Hey, put me in the trash lobbies, that's where I belong.' We'll see what happens." Activision recently released a stoner-lizard DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone that has to be seen to be believed. Earlier this week, the development team also said that the Ricochet Anti-Cheating measures during competitive play "did not hit the mark" before pledging to improve the system. There is a new patch for Black Ops 6 that's meant to address other issues in the game as well. Meanwhile, Treyarch teased a collaboration between Black Ops 6 and Netflix's Squid Game.
